Reflection 24-05-12

Today we did our Instrument assesment. I played the song romance de amor WITH the part 2! :-D i did a really good job! I got 9, but i think i could've done better so i'll get 10. Maybe next time. We didn't have instrument class today, we didn't have enough time.

Reflection 26-04-12

this week, we only have one session of music. tomorrow is a holiday so we wont have music. today we did a written test on Baroque Composers. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA i did a really good job but i answered it randomly. i only know the answers to the first page. but i got a good score anyway so whatever HAHAHAHA :D we didn't have instrument class because we had a test:(

Reflection 13-04-12

today in theory class, we practiced singing Santa Lucia but i didn't get to practice because we have no time. the Piano students practice infront and they sounded amazing! then later, in instrument class, i practiced part one of Romance de Amor. i already can play part 1 but i still have to make it 'smooth'. mr John also gave us the Tabs to another Baroque song that we can play for the assessment, but i chose Romance De Amor:)

Reflection 12-04-12

Today we practiced singing Santa Lucia but by partners. i was so lucky, i didn't have to practice! HAHAHA our assessment is next week so i hope i can do it! next month, may 25th we will have our Baroque Solo Playing Instrument Assessment. i chose the song Romance De Amor because i think its a really good song, all i have to do is to learn part two and i can get 10! :-D

Reflection 20-04-12

yesterday my class had a solo singing assessment. some of us did a a really good job but some of us didn't, to today, some of them re-did their assessment and really did a better job! they got higher grades, too. i didn't had to re-do because i was too lazy to do it HEHEHE:3 we also didn't have any instrument class this week:( only theory because we didn't have enough time.

Today, we had an assessment. we had to sing solo infront of the whole class. the song that i sang was Santa Lucia. i got 9 out of 10. i hink i did a pretty good job, but i think i could do better. i wasn't really confident, in fact i was so shy. i was sick so my voice sounded rather manly-_- but oh well, at least i passed!

we didn't have any instrument class today:( because mr sadrakh was checking our blog, finale project and some of the booklets that we were suppose to hand in last week. we didn't have instrument too last week so i was hoping that we will have instrument class tomorrow! :-)

Today mr checked if we're done with our music composition or not and if we installed the finale software yet. he also reminded us about this blog, and how important this is for one of the criterions which is, Reflection and Personal Engagement.

Today i submitted by baroque composer booklet to mr sadrakh, i got one extra point for giving it early, hehe. we also talked baout the finale software, which i haven't installed yet, one of the reasons are because the ones that the teachers gave us was a windows version, and not for mac. so i have to find a crack version of the finale for mac by my self.

we didn't really did anything today in out theory class, mr sadrakh only reminded us that our booklet is due next week and he explained about the 32 bars composition that is also a song for out PE assessment that is also linked to our Technology and English assessments.

today we learnt more about chords and a music project that we have to do, that is a 32 bars composition typed in the finale software which was given by our teachers, and a 20 page booklet of Famous Baroque Composers, the booklet is due next week.

Reflection 3-02-12

today, we learnt about chords in different major and minors and also their variation 1 and 2, which is not really hard for me to understand. we also have homework, where we have to make a 16 bars composition, but full of chords.

Today we learnt about chords in the c major scale and some in G and D. we were also assigned to research about 3 composer and will use the information for our 20 page booklet of Famous Baroque Composers

Reflection 20-01-12

today is the day, we had our assessment and me and my partner did quite a good job. some of our friends got higher than us, maybe that is because i was a little bit shy. next time i will improve:-D

Today we learnt about the basics in notation, like some of the major skales, and we also sang Hari Kemerdekaan for our singing assessment tomorrow

Today we chose which instruments do we want to learn and we also auditioned. after that we sang our country's national song which is 17 Agustus. we will have a singing assessment next week, with my partner, Nirel:-) i chose guitar for my instrument class, by the way. hehe.
